SUMMER WORKSHOPS


During your visit, take a break and join a workshop led by a guide.

A different theme will be offered depending on the day of your visit: biodiversity in the garden, the job of a nature guide, bird counting, or even discovering feathers.

COLLABORATIVE ART-MAKING


Presented by Théâtre des Turbulences as part of the Plaines d'Été summer programme

Accompanied by texts by George Sand, participants are invited to move together through a series of large canvases.
A wealth of materials spread across the ground encourages free artistic expression.
A sensitive, ever-evolving playground that is at once a space for creativity, self-expression, and contemplation.

OBSERVER ET IDENTIFIER LES LIMICOLES DE LA BAIE


Join the guide for World Shorebird Day to discover the shorebirds that abound in the Bay of Somme.
The day begins with an indoor training and skills-improvement session.
Then, at high tide, you will walk out onto the tidal flats to observe shorebirds and other birds gathered in resting areas, driven there by the rising water.

10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Includes 2 hours of indoor training and a 3-hour outing in the bay.

For those wishing to improve their shorebird identification skills
Approx. 6 km walk on sandy terrain

Big Day

BIG DAY


"The Big Day" is an event where participants record as many bird species as possible in a single day at the Marquenterre Park.
Following in the footsteps of the Global Big Day, an annual international event for the birdwatching community, experience the eighth edition of Big Day Marquenterre.

More than just a day of competition, Big Day Marquenterre will be a special opportunity to appreciate the biodiversity of our favorite playground together.

MIGRATION WEEKS


A guide will introduce you to the incredible phenomenon of bird migration.

They will accompany you to the heart of the Marquenterre Park to tell you about the lives of migratory birds for whom this long journey, despite all its dangers, is a condition of survival. Species identification, listening to calls, explanations of flight, bird counts... these are just some of the aspects of migration that the guide will explain to you.
